WORD

           

We prepare for the coming of Christ when we fix our eyes on Him.

 

ORDER

 

“Be vigilant at all times and pray that you have the strength to escape the tribulations that are imminent and to stand before the Son of Man.” (Luke 21:”36)

           

Prophecies

 

         1.      Increase and abound in love for Me and for one another, then you can raise your head and stand erect before Me at the end of time.

         2.      I seek a worthy habitation for My Son, my promised Redeemer; be ready to receive Him.

 

Directions

 

1. Be ready and watchful and prepare your total being to be able to stand before God at all times.
2. Repent and reconcile with God, thru regular confession.  Seek reconciliation with one another thru dialogue and forgiveness.

 

THEMES AND PROMISES

 

 

Week#1 (1^st Sunday of Advent) - Love

 

Theme:          We prepare for the coming of Christ when love for all abounds in us.

 

Promise:       “All the paths of the Lord are kindness and constancy toward those who keep his covenant and his decrees.” (Psalm 25:10)

 

 

Week#2 (2^nd Sunday of Advent) - Witnessing

 

Theme:          We prepare for the coming of Christ when our words and actions proclaim our trust in Him.

 

Promise:       “The winding roads shall be made straight, and the rough ways made smooth, and all flesh shall see the salvation of God.” (Luke 3:5b - 6)

                       

Week #3 (3^rd Sunday of Advent) – Righteousness

 

Theme:          We prepare for the coming of Christ when we practice righteous living.

 

Promise:       “Then the peace of God that surpasses all understanding will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.” (Phil 4:7)

 

 

Week #4 (4^th Sunday of Advent) - Faith

 

Theme:          We prepare for the coming of Christ when we live in faith like Mary.

 

Promise:       “Blessed are you who believed that what was spoken to you by the Lord would be fulfilled.” (Luke 1:45)
