WORD

           

Jesus, the Living Bread, leads us to eternal life.

           

ORDER

 

“Do not work for food that perishes but for the food that endures for eternal life…” (Jn 6:27)

 

PROPHECIES:

 

  1. Dwell on my Word and learn from me, and I will reveal Myself to you.

 

  1. Obey me and follow My ways; receive My Body and you will live forever.

 

DIRECTIONS:

 

  1. Follow the path to Discipleship by obedience to God’s Word and His will.    

          

  1. Pray and spread the works of Jesus, the Bread of Life.  Receive the Holy Eucharist daily and visit the Blessed Sacrament regularly.

 

THEMES AND PROMISES

 

Week#1 (18th Sunday in Ordinary Time)                       [Holiness]

 

Theme:          Jesus leads us to eternal life when we remain new creations in God’s image.

 

Promise:       “…whoever comes to me will never hunger, and whoever believes in me will never thirst.” (Jn 6: 35b)

  

Order:

1.                                          Do not work for food that perishes but for the food that endures for eternal life…” (Jn 6:27)

2.                                          Put away the old self of your former way of life, corrupted through deceitful desires, and be renewed in the spirit of your minds. (Eph 4:22-23)

 

          Directions:

1.                  Support our formation/ immersion program for Mark 10, John 6 and Youth.

2.                  Support your parish by becoming extraordinary ministers, lectors and catechist.

3.                  Invigorate our word sharing program starting from the stewards to the members.

 

 

Week#2 (19th Sunday in Ordinary Time)                         [Self-giving]

                       

Theme:          Jesus leads us to eternal life when we live in love – kind to one another, compassionate, and forgiving.

 

Promise:       “Everyone who listens to my Father and learns from him comes to me.” (Jn 6:45b)

Order:

1.                                          Do not grieve the Holy Spirit. (Eph. 4:30)

2.                                          Be imitators of God, as beloved children and live in love. (Eph. 5:1)

 

Directions:

1.                                          Stop murmuring – practice Christian speech.

2.                                          All bitterness, fury, anger, shouting and reviling must be removed from you along with all malice.

3.                                          Be kind to one another, compassionate, forgiving one another as God has forgiven you in Christ.

 

 

Week #3 (20th Sunday in Ordinary Time)                      [Piety]                   

 

Theme:          Jesus leads us to eternal life when we are one with Him in the Eucharist.

 

Promise:       “…the one who feeds on me will have life because of me.” (Jn 6:57b)

 

Order:            

1.      Do not continue in ignorance but try to understand what is the will of the Lord. (Eph. 5:17)

 

2.      Be filled with the Spirit, addressing one another in Psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and playing to the Lord in your hearts.  (Eph. 5:18)

 

Directions:

1.      Give thanks always and for everything in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ to God the Father.

2.      Receive the Holy Eucharist daily and visit the Blessed Sacrament regularly.

 

 

Week #4 (21st Sunday in Ordinary Time)                      [Faith]

 

Theme:          Jesus leads us to eternal life when we believe that His words are spirit and life.

 

Promise:       “The Lord redeems the lives of his servants; no one incurs guilt who takes refuge in him.” (Ps 34:23)

Order:

1.                  Be subordinate to one another out of reverence for Christ.  (Eph. 5:21)

2.                  Decide today to serve the Lord.  (Joshua 24:15)

 

            Directions:

1.                  Gather together all the households of the community and commit to serve the Lord.

 

 

Week # 5 (22nd Sunday in Ordinary Time)                    [Witnessing]

 

Theme:          Jesus leads us to eternal life when we honor him with our hearts and act on His word.

 

Promise:       “Whoever walks blamelessly and does justice …shall never be disturbed.” (Ps 15:2, 5b)

Order:

1.                  Be doers of the Word and not hearers only.  (James 1:22)

 

 

            Directions:    

1.                  Read and understand our BLD Statutes and Policies

2.                  Encourage our members to support all our community’s mission endeavors.
