2005 Formation Goals

 

1.    Continue enhancing post-covenanting development

·       Introduce new teachings i.e. Christian Leadership

·       Develop/import modules for diaconate offices

·       Integrate concept of diaconate offices in discipling process

·       Conduct community retreat for deepening of spirituality

2.     Improve delivery/content of formation elements

·       Conduct CDFP teachings on Friday nights for larger audience.

·       Conduct local TDP to raise more teachers

·       Introduce Matthew 6 Home Study plan to supplement CDFP

·       Develop new discipling modules i.e. Spiritual Leadership, Community Upbuilding case studies, Focus on BLD norms

·       Develop/mentor current district instructors to reach community instructor level.

·       Send teachers/disciplers to the Steubenville Christian education center.

·       Increase integrative focus on community upbuilding and parish/diocesan service in Covenant News and related teaching/discipling modules.

·       Implement Sienna MGI program

3.    Continue horizontal integration of formation process

·       Develop/start formation tracts for Solo Parents Ministry

·       Start new formation plan for Youth Ministry

·       Increase collaboration of class shepherds and other formation agents with teaching ministry in all phases of CDFP

·       Accelerate teachings for Singles  Ministry toward covenanting

4.    Continue outreach/mission   support by assisting DIP’s to develop own teachers, become parish catechists, teach non BLD prayer groups, (eg. Cherry Hill), immersion with works of mercy and other activities sponsored by the community as a Lay Association of the Faithful.

 

It is only by God's grace that we can look back at 2004 with thankfulness:
1.  22 newly accredited district instructors
2.  6 newly accredited community instructors
3.  successfully implemented CDFP in our Singles Ministry paving the way for many of them for Committed Discipleship
4.  instituted  regular teachings for Mk 10 and John 6, Service and Intercessory Ministries
5.  Albany's CDFP has been restarted
6.  Post Covenanted Teachings (Counselling, Witnessing, Coaches Development Program, Christian Leadership, Christian Stewardship ) were conducted.

New Discipleship Modules and format for discipling sessions was developed.

Collaboration and assistance in Discipling provided to Long Island and all out reaches.

The Covenant News, Intercessory Prayers and Food for fellowship, were provided each week without fail.
